NEIGHBORHOOD WATCH

We will have a presentation at 6:30pm at the clubhouse on April 19 about the neighborhood watch.  Please plan to attend.

POOL PARTY

Because the pool is in a lot better shape than anticipated, we will have the pool opening party on April 28. Please come out and celebrate the neighborhood summer kickoff with your neighbors.

DUES COLLECTION

The annual dues for 2012 will remain at $350.  Collection dates and times are below.  Payment must be made in person at the Old Mill Clubhouse on the following dates and times:

  • March 20 (immediately after HOA meeting)
  • March 24 1:00pm–4:00pm
  • March 31 9:00am–4:00pm (also a neighborhood work day)
  • April 3 6:00pm–8:00pm

Personal payment is required for activation of your pool card at the time of your 2012 dues payment.  Please remember to bring your pool card when paying your dues so we can record the number with your payment.  It will be important to keep your pool card throughout the year as there will be a $25 charge to replace lost pool cards.

 ANNUAL MEETING

Mark your calendars! Our annual meeting will be Tuesday, March 20, 2012 at 6pm at the clubhouse. Please plan to attend.

PLAYGROUND COMMITTEE

Our playground needs help!  We are putting together a committee of residents who want to look into fixing our playground.  We will look into all possibilities including fixing, upgrading, and/or doing a complete renovation.  Please click here to submit your contact information, and someone will be in touch with you.

HALLOWEEN PARTY

We have some wonderfully ghoulish ideas brewing, so join us for the fun on Saturday, October 29th at 2:00 at the clubhouse for an Old Mill Halloween Party.  Children MUST register with Annette Becnel at annette.becnel@yahoo.com by October 21st to attend.

ENTRANCE GATE ISSUES.

We’ve received a few reports about the entrance gate on 73 opening slowly. Please be aware of that and consider using the entrance off 74 as an alternative. The gate company is being contacted about coming out to resolve the issue.

SWIMMING LESSONS BEGIN JUNE 6!

Swim lessons at the Old Mill pool start June 6.
No more than 4 children per group. Private lessons will also be available. See
PDF below for more details.

NEIGHBORHOOD WORK DAY A SUCCESS!

Thanks to everyone who came out for the Old Mill
Volunteer Work Day yesterday. We were able to get the pool furniture unpacked,
take off the pool cover, pressure wash the clubhouse, freshen up the beds with
new plants, prune some of the trees and bushes and lots more. The pool
clubhouse and surrounding area looks GREAT!

ON FACEBOOK!

We’ve created a Facebook page for the
neighborhood. We’re hoping this will make it easier to get important
information out to everyone more quickly. If you have a Facebook account and
want to sign up, just search Old Mill Subdivision and the page should show up.
We will continue to update the website as well.

PARKING ON THE STREET

We’ve had some issues with cars being parked
regularly on the street. Not only is this a safety hazard, it’s also a
violation of the Old Mill Covenants & Restrictions. Those in violation
could be subject to a fine of up to $50 by the HOA. All vehicles should be parked
in the driveway of your residence. We ask for everyone’s cooperation in this
matter. It’s one of the ways we can keep Old Mill the great neighborhood it is.
Thanks.

CLUBHOUSE

We’ve had a few issues with the clubhouse not
being left in order after rentals so we’ve composed a checklist for residents.
They will be kept in the kitchen drawer. Please check off the items, sign the
bottom and turn it in with your key. Please be aware that your deposit will not
be returned until the signed checklist is turned in. Hopefully, this small step
will clear up any misunderstandings and will make things easier on everyone.

PROPERTY UPKEEP

Maintaining your yard/property helps keep our
neighborhood looking nice and makes a great first impression to those looking
to move to this area. Please be sure to:

  • Weed flower gardens on a regular basis.
  • Keep garbage cans out of sight from the street.
  • Do not park trailers or boats in your driveway.

For more details, see the Old Mill Protective Covenants & Restrictions document in the Documentation section.
